MPM Online Tool is a web tool for assessing regional scale mineral in northern Finland with geospatial datasets in geographic information systems.
The primary aim of the MPM online too is to support strategic planning of companies conducting mineral exploration in northern Finland. Appropriate modelling with the MPM online tool may indicate for the most prospective areas making land claims for further advanced exploration. In addition, we encourage teaching staff in universities to use the MPM Online Tool for teaching of modelling.
A tool to calculate geochemical baselines in soil.
The geochemical baseline map service of the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) calculates regional soil baseline values using geochemical data stored in the map service database. In addition to GTK, soil geochemical data are provided by other national research institutes and some private companies.

Biomass Atlas is an open service that collects location data about biomass under a single user interface. Developed by the Natural Resources Institute Finland together with the Finnish Environment Institute, Tapio, the University of Eastern Finland and the University of Vaasa, and with funding from the Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the service enables users to calculate the amount of biomass in a given geographical area, as well as examining the opportunities to utilise the biomass and restrictions on its use.
