LUKE has released terrestrial laser scanning data for download

LUKE has released forest-related terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) data for public use, which can be downloaded from This first data is from Lapinjärvi research forest, and more will follow later on. TLS has capabilities in measuring tree dimensions in a way that previously could have only been done by felling the trees first. This provides new opportunities for modelling and monitoring applications.
